Panama: Canopy Lodge

Photos from in and around Canopy Lodge, in El Valle de Antón. The lodge is at about 650m above sea level in a valley surrounded by a caldera. The habitat is mostly cloud forest and the altitude makes the temperature 4 or 5 degrees C off than lowland Panama.

Panama: Southern Coclé

These photos were taken on a day trip from Canopy Lodge down the Pacific slope to the ocean at Juan Hombrón. I have separated them because of the different habitats compared to the rest of my trip: open farmland, mangrove and one taken on the beach.

Panama: Canopy Tower

Photos from Canopy Tower in the Soberania National Park near Panama City. The main environments are rain forest, forest canopy and some wetlands in the nearby Canal Zone. The tower itself has an observation deck at canopy level as well as hummingbird feeders.
